Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an ElectroMechanical Staff Engineer at Kennedy Space Center, Florida to oversee the fabrication and integration of harness subsystems for the Orion Spacecrafts and provide floor support for Electrical Integration of wiring products.
Location: This position does not support teleworking ; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Kennedy Space Center FL where you will be working a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
Performs various duties including overseeing harness fabrication and harness installation and Instrumentation/sensor installation for flight hardware.
Helps ATLO determine sequence of build and fabrication problems during the build and integration of harness assemblies.
Review, provide feedback and sign off on Engineering Drawings.
Manages time effectively and can work independently.
Effective communicator, routinely interfaces with program personnel, manufacturing engineers and reports harness build and integration status to leadership.
Mentor lower-level design engineers and support/lead training and onboarding efforts. Provide oversite to lower-level design engineers, reviewing engineering designs/tabletop reviews and provide general technical/floor support guidance.
Supports team by providing engineering dispositions on Q-notes. Trouble shoots and correct anomalies with discrepant hardware.
Primarily supporting 1st shift on a 9-80 schedule. On occasion, may need to support 2nd shift and/or weekends shifts as needed to support program needs.
Perform role as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) for the harness subsystem which includes reviewing top level requirements, cable routing support, product, and material selection. Certifies flight products to program.
Familiar with creating mass analysis, current and voltage analysis.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
Experience with harness design.
5+ years of professional experience.

Lets do Space! Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or experience/combined education.
Skilled in understanding process in harness design, fabrication, test and integration in an aerospace production environment.
Experienced in using 3D modeling tools.
Skilled in using engineering analysis and presentation tools. Ability to communicate Electrical harness design, test, and integration principles to technicians and Manufacturing engineers.
Experience in leading lower level personnel on completing tasks.
Generally has 5+ years of aerospace related work experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
