Role Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution of high-speedconnector development projects, from concept through qualification andproduction release. This role focuses on day-to-day project planning, schedulecontrol, risk management, and cross-functional execution within a high-tech,fast-paced NPI environment.

The Project Manager works closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain,quality, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope,and aligned with technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

Own execution of assigned product development and customer-driven projects,ensuring milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and task ownershipthroughout the project lifecycle.Track progress against schedule, cost, and scope, identifying risks anddriving corrective actions as needed.Coordinate project activities across engineering, operations, quality,supply chain, and external partners.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead cross-functional project teams across multiple global sites withoutdirect authority.Schedule and facilitate regular project meetings, reviews, and action-itemfollow-ups.Escalate issues proactively and communicate resource needs to functionalmanagement.

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

Serve as a primary point of contact for project-level customercommunication, including status updates, schedules, and deliverables.Prepare and present clear project status reports to internal stakeholdersand management.Support customer reviews, design milestones, and qualification readinessactivities.

Technical & Manufacturing Coordination

Partner with engineering to ensure product requirements, specifications, anddesign intent are clearly defined and tracked.Ensure application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design forAssembly (DFA) principles.Coordinate capacity planning and readiness through NPI phases to supportforecasted demand.Ensure systems and processes are in place for ordering, manufacturing, andproduct release.

Risk, Cost, and Change Management

Identify, track, and mitigate project risks using structured risk managementtools.Support cost tracking, capital requests, and change control related toproject scope.Manage project changes to minimize schedule, cost, and quality impacts.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing,or related discipline).5-8+ years of experience managing engineering or NPI projects in ahigh-tech hardware environment.Experience in connectors, interconnects, electronics, or electromechanicalproducts strongly preferred.

Tools & Systems

Experience with project management tools and scheduling software.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Familiarity with structured product development or phase-gate processes.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, andprocedures.Excellent organizational, planning, and execution skills with strongattention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills across technical andnon-technical audiences.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced NPI environment.Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to operate with limitedsupervision.Comfortable working with global, cross-cultural teams and time zones
