Electrical Systems Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced electro-mechanical systems, guiding efforts across architecture, analysis, validation, and product integration. This individual will play a key leadership role in driving technical direction, ensuring product performance, and supporting programs from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership for a team focused on the development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies and system-level solutions
  • Drive system architecture development, including defining technical requirements, specifications, and overall project scope
  • Apply engineering expertise to analyze product behavior, identify performance improvements, and enhance system functionality
  • Develop and implement validation strategies, including defining test approaches and executing verification activities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external electronics partners, translating system requirements into clear technical expectations
  • Evaluate design tradeoffs and present recommendations to balance performance, reliability, and cost objectives
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful system integration
  • Ensure designs align with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance expectations
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Communicate technical concepts, progress, and risks effectively to both technical teams and leadership stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Masters preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical systems or electro-mechanical product development
  • Strong background in system architecture, analysis, and validation methodologies
  • Experience developing and executing design verification plans and interpreting results
  • Proven experience working with external vendors and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with reliability and risk assessment methodologies (e.g., FMEA or similar approaches)
  • Strong communication and technical presentation skills
