Fuse is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in power systems design and integration to support the development and deployment of advanced tactical communications, networking, and computing platforms. This role will support integrated hardware systems for mission-critical defense applications where power integrity, ruggedization, reliability, and environmental compliance are essential.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer who thrives in fast-paced development environments and can balance disciplined engineering practices with innovative problem-solving. This individual will work cross-functionally with mechanical, systems, software, manufacturing, and integration teams to deliver highly reliable solutions for airborne, maritime, and ground systems.

What youll do:

  • Lead electrical power architecture development for tactical communications and embedded computing systems
  • Experience with schematic capture and electrical CAD tools such as Altium, OrCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar
  • Design and analyze AC/DC and DC/DC power distribution systems for rugged military environments
  • Develop system-level power budgets, grounding strategies, and load analysis for integrated systems
  • Design and support power conditioning, filtering, protection, and EMI/EMC mitigation solutions
  • Support electrical integration of networking, communications, compute, and RF subsystems
  • Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface documentation
  • Support PCB and chassis-level power integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Perform power integrity, thermal, and fault analysis to ensure system reliability and compliance
  • Support design reviews, prototype integration, qualification testing, and production transition
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to define and procure electrical components and assemblies
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis during integration and environmental testing
  • Support compliance activities for MIL-STD- 704, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and related military standards
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers and support technical task prioritization across multiple projects
Requirements

We are looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 812+ years of experience designing and integrating electrical power systems
  • Strong understanding of embedded power systems, power conversion, and power distribution architectures
  • Experience designing systems for military, aerospace, maritime, or ruggedized applications
  • Strong understanding of grounding, bonding, shielding, and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques
  • Experience with schematic capture and electrical CAD tools such as Altium, OrCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar
  • Experience performing power analysis, load calculations, and thermal considerations for electronic systems
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and protection mechanisms including fusing, circuit protection, and transient suppression
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving hardware integration and system-level electrical issues
  • Experience supporting prototype builds, qualification testing, and manufacturing transition
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within integrated product teams
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

  • Active Secret Clearance
