ELECTRICIAN / MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN Gannett Publishing Services / USA TODAY CO Knoxville, TN

Up to $30.00 an hour based on experience

Sign on bonus of $500 based on background and work experience

Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment breakdowns

· Use of analog, digital test equipment, and electrical tools

· Experience with networked I/O PLC networks and industrial networking.

· Servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of DC drives and Servo drives

· PLC troubleshooting, repair, and replacement

· Perform preventative maintenance

· Knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations

· Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Experience with the following helpful:

· Ability to perform minor power projects which include conduit and wiring installation

· Ability to understand complex electrical and pneumatic control diagrams

· Knowledge or ability to use machine shop equipment

· HVAC experience

· Familiarity with newspaper printing presses and mailroom processing equipment

On-the-job training where needed

Requirements:

· 3 years of Industrial electrical / maintenance

· Experience working with voltages of 600 volts or less and associated equipment

· Strong communication skills

· Motivated

· Microsoft office applications or similar

· Physical requirements include but are not limited to climbing and working from ladders and steps, working in some confined spaces, periodic moderate to heavy lifting as related to various jobs

· Work schedule is nights, weekends, and holidays

· The team will assist with training
