Engineering Technician

Build complete machines from the ground up. Join a team designing and assembling custom automation equipment where your hands-on expertise directly brings complex systems to life.

What Youll Do

  • Build custom automation machines from scratch, not maintenance work
  • Assemble and integrate mechanical systems, subassemblies, and full machine builds using drawings and schematics
  • Install and connect mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical components
  • Perform precision alignment, tuning, and system integration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during build, test, and startup
  • Partner with engineering to ensure machines meet performance and design specs
  • Support equipment testing, validation, and commissioning (including occasional onsite installs)
  • Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized build environment
What You Bring
  • 510+ years of true machine building experience (custom equipment required)
  • Proven experience building full machines, not just maintaining or repairing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layouts
  • Hands-on experience with assembly, integration, and system troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and solve complex build challenges
  • Experience in automation, manufacturing equipment, or custom machinery environments
  • Engineering degree a plus (not required for strong builders)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
