The salary range for this role, based in Fort Smith, is $111,900.00 to $139,900.00. The range may vary if the role outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidatesexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Position Summary:
The Manager, Engineering Projects NA leads major capital expenditure (Capex) projects from initiation through commissioning. This role ensures project performance, cost control, risk mitigation, and alignment with global engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Delivery:
- Lead end-to-end industrial Capex projects from concept, FEED, and detailed engineering through construction, commissioning, and handover
- Build, coordinate, and guide cross-functional project teams across global, BU, and regional resources
- Maintain strong project governance including reporting cadence, stakeholder communication, and risk/issue escalation
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Engineering & Technical Management:
- Develop and manage technical design packages, engineering specifications, and technology-aligned standards
- Validate Capex requirements through feasibility assessments, FEED studies, and detailed engineering
- Ensure alignment with global technology managers and leverage global templates to drive design consistency
- Oversee technical reviews, constructability assessments, equipment selection, and integration planning
- Lead or support FAT/SAT activities to verify performance, quality, and contractual/technical compliance
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Support and/or lead RFP development, vendor evaluations, and contract award processes
- Conduct technical reviews of vendor proposals and ensure alignment with engineering requirements and project objectives
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure design integrity, manufacturability, and seamless installation planning
Construction, Commissioning & Documentation:
- Guide preconstruction planning and coordinate with construction partners to ensure quality and safety standards
- Provide engineering support during commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness
- Complete all required technical documentation, project records, and handover packages
Standards, Governance & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive consistency in management of change processes across projects
- Foster cross-functional engineering capabilities to strengthen regional operations and promote knowledge sharing
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Capex processes and controls
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience with vendor management and FAT/SAT
- Strong accountability and ability to drive this amongst stakeholders
Education:
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
Preferred:
- P.Eng. and/or PMP certification
Experience:
Required:
- 7+ years of industrial project management experience
Preferred:
- Spirits industry experience
Travel:
- 10% travel
- Maybe required to travel as necessary for trade shows, industry conferences and customer meetings
Financial Responsibility:
- Greatly influences goals but does not have final authority. Manages and deploys resources to meet the goals
