The Opportunity
Our Project Execution team is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented early-career professional who can support project execution through strong coordination, communication, and accountability in Houston, Texas to support the US Natural Gas Projects Team.
The Project Coordinator supports the project execution team by organizing tasks, tracking progress, coordinating communication, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with project objectives. Responsible for ensuring all Projects and Programs meet performance metrics, are adequately planned for, and strategically aligned with the Company's objectives. The Project Coordinator is aligned with the project team and other functional groups to manage project constraints (i.e. cost, schedule, risk) to maximize benefit, minimize cost, maintain quality and safety and reduce risks.
What you'll do
- Support the Project Manager in defining scope, planning, and executing projects across the full lifecycle (planning through closeout), including schedule and cost tracking.
Coordinate development, updates, and maintenance of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in alignment with company standards and help to create the project roadmap/PEP and collect plans/deliverables from relevant stakeholders. Schedule gate reviews/checkpoints with project sponsors as required.
Manage and track project scope, budget, schedule, and performance, ensuring alignment with the Project Delivery Standard.
Monitor and incorporate scope and cost changes into forecasts and analyze variances against baseline plans with clear reporting to management.
Facilitate project meetings, prepare status reports, capture minutes and action items, and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.
Maintain and update the project risk register, supporting risk identification and mitigation strategies with the Project Manager.
Collaborate with Project Schedulers and Controllers to align cost, schedule, and risk, and highlight variances requiring corrective action.
Support procurement activities including scope of work (SOW) development, RFP processes, bid evaluations, and contract coordination.
Act as a liaison across project teams and functional groups, support assurance reviews/gate readiness, track contractor performance issues, and drive continuous improvement of project processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering, Construction Management, and Project Management
Recent graduate with no more than two years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or co-op experience in project coordination, construction, engineering, or operations
Advanced Microsoft Desktop Software; Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills needed and familiarity with project tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Power BI)
Basic understanding of industry (e.g., energy, infrastructure, construction)
Strong attention to detail with proven ability to track deliverables, schedules, and documentation accurately; analytical, problem-solving, and results-oriented mindset.
Project management experience with focus on costing, scheduling, reporting, and forecasting; familiarity with PMBOK and PMP principles preferred.
Experience executing low- to moderate-risk capital projects across the full construction project lifecycle.
Skilled in analyzing schedules and costs, interpreting technical documents and drawings, and delivering clear project status updates.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners; communicates effectively and drives issue resolution and value-added outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accurate records (logs, meeting notes, and action trackers).
Strong understanding of project and portfolio management processes, including change management, version control, and risk identification/mitigation.
