Job Purpose

We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to support primarily linguistic evaluations and localization projects. In this role, you will be the backbone of our production, cooperating with Project Managers and other departments, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of diverse multilingual evaluation, localization and linguistic AI data service projects.

This is a deeply involved, hands-on position that requires you to be directly engaged in managing our pool of linguistic resources and monitoring daily project progress to ensure every milestone is met.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Close cooperation with Project Managers and other internal supporting teams
  • Proactively analyzing project scope and instructions, asking the right questions to internal stakeholders (and potentially external customers), planning and executing the work
  • Coordination of complex multi-language linguistic evaluation and/or localization projects to support the development and refinement of AI/ML services
  • Coordination of the localization projects such as distributing tasks to our external translators or colleagues, collecting final outputs, and solving issues
  • Delivery of projects to client's expectations achieving targeted levels of on-time-delivery (OTD)
  • Analyzing the processes and finding opportunities for potential improvement
  • Communicating in English (especially via phone and email)
  • Getting to know the technologies used in localization (CAT tools, HTML/XML, etc.) and proprietary tools from RWS and our customers
  • Keeping track of your work, including creating reports
  • Reporting to project manager and/or customers
  • Consistently sustaining internal and external client satisfaction levels assessed by feedback
  • Solving problems and troubleshooting
  • Creating instructions and documentation

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to improvise and solve problems
  • Proactivity and good communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills to be able to understand complex projects' scope and instructions, adapt those for the team working on the tasks and clarify the scope with the customer, when needed
  • Willingness to learn how to use multiple proprietary tools (RWS tools: Symfonie, Squirrel + customer specific tools for project management and CAT).
  • Experience managing linguistic evaluation or data labeling projects is a plus
  • Linguistic background or experience is a plus
  • At least a high school education; university degree is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus
  • Very good verbal and written English proficiency
  • Attention to detail, because just a single mistake can change the outcome of our work
  • Team spirit-you will be part of a team that helps each other
  • Previous relevant work experience and knowledge of localization are a big advantage
