We are currently seeking a Senior Development Engineer - Advanced Joint andBonding to join the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Development Engineer- Joining and Bonding you will research anddevelop methods, technologies and processes meant to Identify and developalternative joining methods for foils or overwraps in interconnectconstructions.

Evaluate and down-select technologies such as welding, Laser / thermalbonding, induction sealing and othersDesign and execute rigorous experimental programs (DOE, accelerated aging,thermal cycling, adhesion and interface testing) to identify root causes ofhigh-temperature failures and down-select robust solutions with provenreliability margins.Translate research outcomes into manufacturable solutions by defining viableapplication and cure concepts, process windows, risk profiles, and scale-uppaths in collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functionalteams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's or Ph.D. degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering orPlastics Engineering5+ years' experience in thin adhesives or coatings deposition (tapes,wraps, foil experience preferred)Strong knowledge of:High-temperature adhesive systems (silicone, epoxy, acrylic, etc.)Pressure-sensitive vs thermoset adhesivesAdhesion to metal foils and polymer substratesMicro welding or delivers background with bonding and joining materialsHands-on experience with materials characterization techniques (e.g., peel &shear testing, DSC, TGA, DMA, FTIR, mechanical testing and environmentaltesting).Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to link materialproperties to performance.Ultrasonic or laser weldingThermal bonding / sealingMetal forming or mechanical joiningAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate technical findings toboth engineering and non-technical stakeholders.Curiosity-driven mindset with a passion for innovation and emergingtechnologiesExperience with data analysis software, MS Excel, MATLAB, Minitab and/orOrigin
