Your day-to-day work may include, but is not limited to:
Creates and/or revises job travelers, visual manufacturing instructions, and manufacturing procedures
Revises Engineering drawings, Performance Specification Sheets, Data Sheets, routers and other documents
Creates and processes Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Notices
Maintains and revises Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Bill of Materials (BOM), and production travelers.
The advanced student engineer
Evaluates, revises, or designs manufacturing tooling.
Performs small engineering experiments with documented results and conclusions under the direction of other engineers
Monitors and evaluates manufacturing yields
Supports Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Creates and revises 3D CAD models
Professional Qualifications
Technical college degree (or equivalent) with three to five years of quality engineering experience or ten years of quality engineering experience without a degree.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
ASQ Certification a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Familiarity with basic operations of electrical components and mechanical system dynamics
Advanced computer skills Microsoft Office (Excel and Word in particular)
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and processes in a production environment
Ability to interface with various personnel at different levels of skills, knowledge, and experience
The ability to speak and write clearly on technical subjects to individuals and groups
Familiarity with basics of the FEA is a plus
Familiarity with piezoelectric materials is a plus
Problem solving expertise and good organizational skills
Personal Skills
BSEE or BSME in junior year or above preferred
General knowledge of Mechanical Engineering a plus
General Knowledge of Electrical Engineering a plus
General knowledge of Manufacturing a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive "can-do" attitude
Works well in a collaborative, constructive team environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and SolidWorks preferred
LabView and Electrical Engineering a plus

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
