Jaxon is looking for a full-time, on-site, Quality Engineer to work at its headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to implement and sustain a quality control system to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency, across multiple departments (Engineering, Construction, Sustainment, & Business Operations). The selected candidate will be a team player, while stretching performance standards for themself. This is a results-oriented doer who passionately finds ways over, around, and through barriers to success.

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance or higher.

Required Travel: Some travel maybe required up to 15% per year.

Salary: $70,000-85,000 annual

Requirements

Primary Duties

- Create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)

- Archive, scan, and maintain all applicable build records associated with the product including captured data, completed forms/reports, inspection & testing methods, techniques, and equipment used for quality assurance

- Incoming inspection of materials and special process to ensure completeness of CoCs and traceable documentation

- Adhere to methods to determine whether process and completed products meet specific standards and specifications.

- Ability to work well and maintain a schedule with fabrication team to document the FAIRs and complete AS9102s.

- Ability to develop, review & update project quality reports, standard operating procedures, and quality program manuals.

- Self-starter, who is highly motivated and well organized with the ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in the office when coordination with the project team members is needed.

Support Functions

- Support ISO 9001:2015 Certification and AS9100 compliance (including calibration, document control, certification, training, inspections, etc.)

- Conduct internal audits, support AS9100 audits and customer surveys

- Supplier assessment & audits

- Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

- Prepare for source inspection, interact with customer

- Review and assist with investigation of nonconformances, root cause analysis, and corrective action.

Job Qualifications

- Bachelors degree or four years of experience as a quality engineer or similar role for a specifically related field such as DoD contracting or EMP protection

- Experience inspecting parts, working with job travelers, drawings, and CMM inspection tools a plus.

- Proficient with MS Excel, MS Office, and MS PowerPoint. Experience with MS Project and advanced Excel functions (formatting, commands, macros, etc) a plus.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret clearance

- Willingness to be coached and willing to learn new skills in a growing industry
