Project Coordinator
Under administrative direction, is responsible for planning and adminstering a specific project or program for a City department. Serves as the administrative supervisor on projects or programs. Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews activities of subordinate personnel. Monitors the project or program's operating budget and assists in the annual preparation of same. Designs, implements, and monitors procedures utilized in program evaluation. Develops and secures commitments from other City departments and agencies to provide services to program participants. Provides technical assistance or reviews program policies and procedures. Maintains current information and oversees the preparation of project status reports. Prepares financial and narrative reports and program applications. Communicates project/program status and information to municipal officials and/or public and private entities. May supervise employees assigned to the respective project. Performs other related duties as required.Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences, or closely related field preferred. Two (2) years of any equivalent combination of education, training and experience in program administration required. Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds. Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Administer payroll and personnel transactions accurately and timely for a large workforce, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
Manage payroll processing, time and attendance records, employee status changes, new hire onboarding, separations, and personnel documentation.
Audit and reconcile work schedules, timekeeping records, and payroll entries; identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and maintain documentation.
Prepare payroll, personnel, financial, operational, and year-end reports as required.
Maintain confidential employee and payroll records with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
Process manual payroll checks and ensure proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
Support recruitment and retention initiatives by coordinating and participating in all phases of talent acquisition, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention analysis.
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain a diverse, qualified workforce.
Schedule and coordinate interviews and assist with the development of interview and selection materials.
Analyze workforce metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, retention, and diversity data, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborate effectively with division leadership, Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Civil Service, and other departments to ensure seamless personnel and payroll operations.
Exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and recommend solutions.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
