Procurement Project Manager--Madison, WI HYBRID

Contract Role--3 months with potential to extend. Some onsite needed in Madison. Open to IL or WI candidates.

The role will operate in a hybrid Business Analyst Project Manager capacity , partnering closely with procurement leadership and cross- functional stakeholders to define requirements, drive process improvements, and support system- enabled changes within the COUPA Source- to- Pay platform .

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple procurement process improvement initiatives, managing scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

  • Work with functional managers across:

    • Category Management

    • Procurement Operations

    • Accounts Payable ( AP)

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement across procurement workflows.

  • Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements across the end- to- end Source- to- Pay lifecycle .

  • Facilitate workshops to document current- state and future- state procurement processes .

  • Translate business requirements into system- ready requirements supporting COUPA configuration and enhancements .

  • Partner with IT and system administrators on changes across COUPA modules including:

    • Sourcing / RFx

    • Supplier onboarding & supplier information management

    • Contract lifecycle management

    • Supplier risk evaluation and due diligence

    • Requisitioning, ordering, and approval workflows

    • Invoicing and payment processes

    • Supplier performance monitoring

  • Maintain project governance artifacts such as:

    • Project plans

    • RAID logs

    • Decision logs

    • Status reporting

  • Support testing coordination, issue resolution, and readiness activities.

  • Assist with change enablement including communications, training coordination, and rollout support.

  • Lead and coordinate 1- 2 supporting business analysts executing the workstream deliverables.


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement- focused business analysis, project management, or process improvement .

  • Strong understanding of end- to- end procurement and Source- to- Pay processes .

  • Experience working with procurement technologies ( COUPA strongly preferred).

  • Ability to lead cross- functional discussions and translate business needs into actionable requirements.

  • Strong communication skills with both operational practitioners and leadership stakeholders.
