As a Materials and Process Engineer youll work on a broad range of projects that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Working side by side with designers, test and manufacturing engineers, youll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology in an advanced manufacturing environment utilizing the latest technology such as additive manufacturing and novel materials to survive in the most hostile of environments.
In this role you will:
Participate in and lead technical assignments related to a Parts, Materials and Processes in a high-reliability missile system
Help oversee PMP selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis
Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports
Coordinate with team engineers, internal/subcontractor interfaces, leadership and MDA customer
Oversee review of engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure compliance to program requirements
Provide Standard and Non-Standard requests to the program PMP Control Board, gaining critical closure to enable approved design releases
We're looking for:
A self-starter who develops solutions to technical issues
A motivated individual who's able to work closely within a geographically dispersed team to resolve technical issues
Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines
Someone willing to mentor and teach junior engineers
Someone comfortable with communicating in a variety of forums
Someone with the ability to work with management and program representatives at several levels

Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required Professional experience in an Engineering field
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Chemistry, Material Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant direct experience supporting manufacture of aerospace hardware or missile systems
Ability to work independently and multi-task, with demonstrated leadership skills
Demonstrated excellence in writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with NASA or military specifications and Engineering requirements
Experience in materials and processes such as composites, adhesives, bonding, failure analysis, and/or manufacturing operations.
Experience with Windchill
Active or Current Secret clearance or higher
