New Product Introduction Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining and process engineering
  • Hands-on expertise with CNC machine programming, setup, and operation, including advanced probing and macro programming
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks CAD, Esprit CAM, Siemens NX CAD/CAM , and verification with Vericut
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-axis CNC machining including 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and mill-turn lathes
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Strong grasp of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and blueprint reading
  • Extensive experience with common metrology and measurement systems
  • Background with Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization
  • Excellent problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and cross-department communication skills

New Product Introduction Engineer Preferred Background & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred)
  • U.S. citizenship

New Product Introduction Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement CNC machining processes, including tooling, fixtures, and programming for multi-axis CNC machines
  • Create and optimize CNC programs with CAD/CAM software to ensure quality and compliance
  • Analyze manufacturing workflows and drive improvements to productivity, cycle time, and waste reduction
  • Collaborate with design engineers to provide DFM feedback and ensure manufacturability of new products
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for manufacturing issues, implementing corrective actions
  • Evaluate and select CNC equipment and technologies for new product introduction
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, setup sheets, and work instructions
  • Train and mentor operators on CNC processes, best practices, and quality standards
  • Support Lean initiatives such as 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, championing continuous improvement
