Senior Program Engineer

  • Provide dedicated oversight and surveillance support for assigned program activities associated with system development, manufacturing, integration, testing, delivery, and acceptance.
  • Monitor day-to-day operational progression to ensure program objectives, milestones, schedules, and contractual deliverables remain aligned with customer expectations.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, logistics, integration and test, quality assurance, and program leadership to maintain operational continuity and stakeholder awareness.
  • Participate in program reviews, production meetings, test event discussions, discrepancy adjudication efforts, and operational readiness assessments.
  • Perform surveillance of system development, hardware manufacturing, equipment assembly, installation, system staging, integration, and operational test activities.
  • Monitor system light-off events, blueprint testing, functional testing, operational verification testing, and acceptance demonstrations for procedural compliance and quality performance.
  • Assess production workflow, hardware readiness, workmanship standards, material condition, and system configuration throughout all phases of execution.
  • Support oversight of production readiness, lab readiness, and equipment staging activities associated with integration and test operations.
  • Oversee rework activities associated with system deficiencies, hardware discrepancies, failed components, and production nonconformance actions.
  • Participate in anomaly tracking, Trouble Failure Report (TFR) monitoring, discrepancy adjudication, root cause discussions, and corrective action implementation efforts.
  • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing personnel to ensure deficiencies are properly documented, tracked, resolved, and validated prior to operational acceptance.
  • Monitor recurring failure trends and communicate impacts, risks, and operational concerns to leadership.
  • Monitor implementation of engineering changes, schematic revisions, drawing updates, technical modifications, and configuration management activities.
  • Ensure production and integration activities remain aligned with approved technical baselines, engineering documentation, and configuration control processes.
  • Support review and surveillance of system modifications, redesign efforts, and engineering updates affecting production and operational performance.
  • Coordinate and monitor Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) warranty support actions, OEM engagement efforts, repair activities, and contractor support services associated with system deficiencies and operational impacts.
  • Support traceability and accountability efforts associated with repairable assets, GFE, and controlled hardware requiring corrective action or replacement.
  • Perform surveillance and oversight activities within Production Test Facility (PTF), integration environments, operational labs, and test areas supporting program execution.
  • Monitor lab configuration, equipment setup, safety compliance, operational readiness, and procedural adherence during active production and testing operations.
  • Identify operational risks, environmental concerns, procedural deviations, and quality impacts associated with site activities.
  • Support program execution activities requiring travel support up to four times per business year with durations of approximately three weeks per assignment.
  • Participate in on-site surveillance, integration oversight, test support, quality assessments, customer coordination efforts, and operational readiness activities at remote locations as required by program needs.
  • Develop and maintain surveillance reports, quality assessments, operational summaries, risk evaluations, and stakeholder status updates.
  • Provide real-time program awareness to leadership regarding production progression, test readiness, anomaly impacts, schedule concerns, and operational risks.
  • Support development of quality metrics, trend analysis reporting, corrective action tracking tools, and program performance documentation.
  • Support operational activities associated with new program startup, manufacturing ramp-up, system sustainment, customer acceptance, and production maturity efforts.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, acceptance events, production readiness reviews, and customer engagement activities.
  • Maintain professional interaction with government customers, prime contractors, OEM representatives, and internal stakeholders in support of overall mission success.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Systems, or Industrial Engineering and/or Military experience.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • AEGIS Combat System experience
  • A self-starter with experience working in small teams


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
