Provides daily operational supervision of Diagnostic Imaging Field Service Engineers. Responsible for implementing staff training and development programs, while monitoring, optimizing and communicating technician workflows. Performs installation, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment including diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy systems and associated devices. Communicates daily work assignments amongst the team and facilitates customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesQualifications
- Supervises and leads a team of technicians to ensure safe and standard clinical operations for a variety of diagnostic imaging, radiation therapy and related systems.
- Maintains a broad understanding of clinical technology and maintenance practices in the health care industry.
- Deploys daily staffing resources to most urgent and important work, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed with minimal operational impact.
- Works with staff to manage workloads and priorities including ensuring equipment compliance programs are kept within established guidelines.
- Performs periodic performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, onboarding and career development plans for technicians.
- Develops, implements and improves the departmental training program within the diagnostic imaging sphere. Assists in developing written materials for ongoing education on relevant topics.
- Ensures adherence to proper equipment maintenance and department procedures, policies, and best practices. Monitors the need for changes and contributes to ongoing improvement.
- Manages networked imaging systems and databases and inter-connectivity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) related modalities and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Works with leadership in making staffing, budgeting, and procedural recommendations.
- Performs equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations, following all best practice guidance for Diagnostic Imaging Field Service Engineers.
- Exercises subject matter expertise working with clinical and technical stakeholders in the planning and execution of equipment acquisition and installation. Provides leadership on short-term projects where applicable.
- Provides mentoring and precepting, proactively contributing as a technical resource to others in areas of specialty or certification(s).Drives engagement among direct reports. Conducts regular team meetings, addressing team and department concerns as well as communications.
- Excels in communication strategy. Able to use a range of tactics to reach staff and customers with measured, accurate and understandable messaging. Able to listen and relay concerns, status and strategy between all parties involved, including leadership.
- Handles customer complaints promptly and effectively. Escalates issues to leadership as appropriate and maintains communication regarding issues.
- Communicates customer and team needs, issues, challenges, barriers, weaknesses, wins, and strengths to leadership as appropriate.
- Manages change effectively, resolving conflicts between individual employee needs, and requirements of the organization
- Promotes Continues learning and improvement work towards individual and team objectives. Delivers important communications across service delivery teams, creating written and visual documentation for consistency and clarity among working groups.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Bachelors degree in appropriate discipline, with 4 years of relevant experience. Equivalently, an Associates degree in appropriate discipline with 7 years relevant experience.- Must possess the social traits necessary to interact closely with staff and patients, often under difficult and trying conditions.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. - Demonstrates excellent communication abilities when writing, reading, listening, and speaking to groups or individuals.- Maintains high standards of integrity with customers, vendors, and employees.- Drivers license required.- Flexible schedule required.- CHTM strongly preferred and encouraged for development.- CRES strongly preferred and encouraged for development.- Area of Interest: Professional/Management
- Pay Range: $44.46/Hr. - $71.13/Hr.
- FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.00 - 1.00 - 40 hrs/week
