Reporting to the Vice President Project Development and Delivery, the Project Manager is responsible for providing sound management of large and complex projects in Texas. The role will be instrumental in developing project plans and schedules, scope definition, timelines, contractor selection and contracting, quality assurance, reporting and project controls.

- A minimum of 10 years of industry experience and tertiary qualifications in project management is desirable.
- Qualifications in an engineering discipline or demonstrable experience and technical knowledge in data center infrastructure.
- Proven project management and people leadership experience (5 years plus) in mid to large size projects of similar complexity to IREN's
- Experience in a fast-paced growth environment

Business Development
- Strengthen stakeholder and contractor relationships.
- Manage personnel providing direction and performance management.
- Perform to business expectations and goals, maintaining an environment that is outcomes focused, encourages open communication and high standard of safety and quality in project delivery.
Project Start-up
- Manage construction contracting processes, providing input into the commercial structure and technical scope
- Provide early assessment of constructability of design
- Support procurement and long-lead equipment identification, supplier assessment and capex planning in line with project schedules
- Deliver each of the activities/milestones noted in the Project planning processes.
- Facilitate handover from development team to project execution team.
- Formulate project management plans & schedules addressing scope, work sequencing, HSE and quality outcomes.
- Develop a Work Breakdown Structure for planned work effort and work with project controls/accounting to establish prudent budget tracking processes.
Scope Management
- Manage the communication and storage of construction documentation to ensure clear contractor scope and obligations under the contract.
- Participate in the design and constructability reviews during engineering design, working closely with the design team to ensure lessons learnt and construction improvements are incorporated into the design.
- Maintain RFI database and manage prompt resolution
Program Management
- Manage the development and delivery of master development and construction schedules within the key delivery phases.
- Develop and deliver program of works and develop resourcing/contractor strategies, ensuring resources are used efficiently and productivity is maximized.
- Identify look-ahead planning for scope and capex requirements to meet project schedules
- Effectively manage contractors to ensure construction programs meet agreed schedules and key milestones.
- Implement time-saving initiatives to accelerate project delivery within appropriate risk tolerances.
- Perform and participate in project risk assessments as required
- Project reporting to prescribed frequencies and requirements
Cost Management
- Work with project controls/accounting resources to maintain and report project cost plans, including forecasting of risks and cost contingencies.
- Monitor all costs in line with budget forecasts and ensure appropriate action is taken to advise early of cost impacts.
- Communicate budget variances to Senior Management
- Maintain accurate and timely records of resources used (labor, timesheets, materials, subcontractors) and work completed.
Quality Management
- Establish measurable performance indicators for subordinates, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversee the close out of non-conformances and defect rectification prior to project completion.
- Ensure hand over manuals and relevant project documentation is provided, satisfactory and filed appropriately.
- Work with QA/QC personnel to manage defects within the defect liability period for each contractor.
- Organize hand over and archive of project documentation in accordance with management plan and Company guidelines.
Project Evaluation and Continual Improvement
- Contribute to evaluations of project performance and recommend actions for improvement of processes.
- Facilitate improvement workshops & lessons learned post project completion to capture improvement opportunities.
