The Plant Services Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing capital improvement and maintenance projects as assigned. This role oversees all phases of project delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, and project closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Develop and submit Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests, including detailed cost estimates and project justifications
Monitor project costs and track AFE expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets
Manage construction activities involving third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
Create and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and adjusting timelines as needed
Oversee large, multi-phase CAPEX projects from initiation through completion
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and site drawings to guide project execution
Utilize AutoCAD or similar to create, update, and modify technical drawings and layouts
Define project scope and develop documentation for bid proposals and contractor engagement
Conduct routine project inspections and lead final walkthroughs to ensure quality and completion standards are met
Apply knowledge of construction concepts, terminology, and trade responsibilities to effectively manage projects
Direct and manage internal staff, providing leadership and coordination across teams
Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project completion
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience managing plant services, construction, or industrial projects
Strong understanding of CAPEX project management and financial tracking
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar and ability to work with technical drawings
Experience working with third-party contractors and vendor management
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
