The City of Oroville California is located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills within the Northern Sacramento Valley of Butte County which is located about sixty miles north of Sacramento.

Oroville is best known for its abundance of recreational opportunities. Lake Oroville, which was created by the construction of the Oroville Dam, is one of the recreational gems of California.
