Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer

We are hiring for 2 Mechanical Equipment Engineers to support an automotive OEM in the Assembly department, focusing on assembly-related automated equipment. These positions involve maintaining high running efficiency and low mean time between failure (MTBF) for the responsible equipment. The Equipment Engineer will investigate and implement business plans or end-of-life projects to maintain or improve the running efficiency of the assembly department.

Responsibilities

• Perform problem-solving and root cause analysis, including investigations, report writing, and containment/repair activities with speed.
• Maintain equipment online by studying equipment performance and reliability to develop solutions for increasing uptime.
• Install new equipment by developing business plans and managing projects to implement new equipment for continuous improvement activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Automated equipment experience
• CO-OP or 1-2 years of experience

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Knowledge of assembly manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and 3D CAD software
• General engineering principles as it relates to assembly equipment
• Project management skills
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to communicate clearly to multiple layers of management

This role is based in a large-scale automotive manufacturing plant, working within a team of about 10 engineers on the equipment team. The position requires working 8-hour shifts throughout the week and includes working during holiday shutdowns, paid at double time. The team is heavily involved with Electrical Vehicle production.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.50 - $38.00/hr.
