Process Development - NPI Project Manager
What you will do

In this role as a member of the Amgen Ohio, Process Development organization, this role serves as project manager for Final Drug Product New Process Introductions (NPI) into Amgen Ohio. NPI scope may include the implementation of various drug product formats (e.g. vial, syringe, auto injectors, etc.), introduction of new processes and equipment (including medical device final assembly and testing), and implementation of new packaging configurations.

  • The NPI Project Manager engages with the NPI teams from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Process Development, and other business groups throughout the process.
  • The NPI Project Manager is responsible for leading the coordination and project management activities such as project initiation, planning, resources management, budget management, risk management, and reporting.
  • Coordination with various project managers, workstream leads, and subject matter experts from functions including finance, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and process development.
  • Monitoring the progress of projects. Identify and communicate project risks and facilitate discussion and meetings for mitigation strategy or decision-making sessions.
  • Must possess knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and organizational change techniques.
  • You anticipate and plan and know how to manage ambiguity in a diverse and changing environment.
  • You are an excellent communicator and use date to present cogent options; can steer multidisciplinary teams toward desired outcomes.
  • Support a safe working environment by complying with all pertinent environmental health/safety practice, rules and regulations.
  • Familiar with project management tools (Smartsheet preferred) and track records of successfully leading multiple projects at the same time.
  • Experience with medical device design development and manufacturing.
  • Fundamentally sound project management/organization, technical writing, computer skills, and communication/presentation skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in project environments, and skilled in communication, facilitation, and collaboration.
  • Standout colleague prepared to work in and embrace a team-based culture that relies on collaboration for effective decision-making.
  • Experienced in managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information with internal and external colleagues of varying organizational levels in both presentation and technical writing forms

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Masters degree and 2 years of project management experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 4 years of project management experience

Or

Associates degree and 8 years of project management experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of project management experience

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
