Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated entry-level Civil Engineer to join our team. You will work on site design, grading, drainage, and buried infrastructure efforts for clients in technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, power & energy, and other sectors .Our ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized, and be capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities. You will be working with technical staff and executing the following:Roles and Responsibilities:Perform engineering work with our Private Sector Design Discipline Team on site design, grading, drainage, and buried infrastructure efforts for clients in technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, power & energy, and other sectors .Work with teams on engineering designs, preparing reports, construction drawings, specifications, and calculations for various projects.Perform preliminary design activities such as studies, data analysis, and alternatives analyses.Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspections as part of engineering services during construction.Conduct field work, such as site investigations, as necessary for various projects.Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (Engineers, Designers).Coordinate project work with process-mechanical, geotechnical, architectural, process, instrumentation, and electrical engineers and consultants.Required Qualifications:BS Degree in Civil Engineering.Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally.Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint.Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3DFamiliarity with fundamental technical topics, including:HydrologyHydraulicsStormwater and Green InfrastructureTransportationGeotechnical engineeringConstruction ManagementSurveyingPreferred Qualifications:EIT qualifications or intent to pursue EIT standing.Field/construction experience.Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.Location A:Salary $58,000 - $79,000Location B:Salary $64,000 - $87,000Location C:Salary $70,000- $95,000You can view which BC location applies to you here.
