Job Description

We need a highly skilled IT Consultant 3 / Senior Project Manager to join the Collections Enforcement Section. This contractor role is vital in leading a multi-phase data migration and analysis project, transitioning from a legacy system to a new modernized platform for debt collection operations.

This is a hybrid role, with occasional on-site meetings. Candidates must be local or within 1-2 hours from Columbus, Ohio. Working with Debt Collection departments is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale data migration and data analysis initiatives.
• Drive project execution using Agile methodology, ensuring on-time delivery and quality outcomes.
• Work with cross-functional teams i ncluding developers, business analysts, and QA to deliver project goals.
• Create and present project dashboards, timelines, and updates to senior leadership.
• Conduct and facilitate application design meetings , requirement workshops , and functionality demos (show & tell) .
• Monitor and track all project phases including budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and reporting.
• Ensure seamless collaboration between business and IT stakeholders .

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing complex IT projects.
• Proven experience with data migration projects, especially from legacy to modern systems.
• Hands-on experience with Agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong background in business process improvement, financial applications, and IT transformations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with debt collection systems or collections terminology is a significant plus.
• Prior experience working in public sector projects or state agencies.
