Position Overview:

AMA Group is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. You will be responsible for working on a range of projects, both big and small. As a part of your role, you will receive guidance and mentorship from senior engineers and will be trained to become a project manager. You will be given the opportunity to lead projects and represent AMA in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Engineer, Electrical engineer, you will be responsible for the internal growth of each project. As a subject matter expert, the daily design activities will flow through your desk. In your role, you will:

• Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with the code.
• Collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
• Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved.
• Make sure you are responding to requests and communicating information accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required; PE highly preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Electrical engineering
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards, engineering drafting standards, Electrical engineering standards, and other trades
• Understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
• Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization, combined with the ability to work independently
• Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems; ability to investigate, identify, and provide solutions to technical problems
• Experience in the preparation of technical reports for delivery directly to a client audience
• Expert skills with AutoCAD and Revit
