Job Duties and Responsibilities

ADIs Aerospace and Defense Sensors, Subsystems, & Space business unit has an open position for an RF Design Engineer. Working on new technology development, you will design cutting-edge integrated modules and subsystems for electronic warfare (EW), communication, and phased array radar systems. Principal job responsibilities include:

  • Work with a team of engineers on EW, missile sensor, and phase array related programs from concept development through top level integration, test, and debug
  • Design and evaluate complex multi-chip designs and architectures from DC to 55GHz+
  • Identify viable architectures, complete system and chip-level design trades including frequency planning, spur analysis, phase noise, gain, IP2/IP3, and noise gure performance (among other key metrics)
  • Verify and validate designs to ensure compliance to customer specications and expectations
  • Collaborate with multiple teams for new product development, system design, and performance verification of hardware and software

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree and 2+ years experience in RF/Microwave or electronics design.
  • RF/Microwave design experience including chain analysis, circuit/system modeling, and product integration & test
  • Experience utilizing RF/Microwave design tools including Microwave Oce (MWO/VSS) or Advanced Design System (ADS + GENESYS)
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, e.g. Allegro, PADS
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with peers, managers, and project stakeholders eectively using both verbal and written communications
  • Act decisively and make clear, timely decisions in the best interests of the project
  • Planning and organization: set and manage priorities, adapt to change, drive progress of activities, issues, risks and deliverables to closure
  • Creativity and innovation: explore new options to bridge project challenges or improve processes, identify and address challenges across functional boundaries
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
