Engineering Manager (Structural)

MasTec Communications Group is a trusted leader in building telecom infrastructure nationwide. We support projects across OSP, wireless, and utility sectors.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead utility construction documentation for telecom infrastructure. You will provide oversight and guidance for engineering standards, review structural documentation, and manage execution from pre-construction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering deliverables including construction drawings, BOMs, and material specs

• Ensure all project documentation aligns with internal standards and client requirements

• Supervise and mentor structural engineering team members

• Coordinate cross-functional communications with internal stakeholders and clients

• Monitor project milestones and resolve documentation discrepancies

• Stay current on industry standards and recommend design/process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering field

• 15+ years of overall engineering experience, with 10+ years in telecom infrastructure

• 2+ years of AutoCAD experience required

• Strong leadership and team development skills

• Experience managing engineering documentation for wireless or utility-based projects

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
