About This Opportunity:
The Senior Project Manager, Store Expansion will be responsible for coordination off all aspects the lifecycle of store openings, from real estate strategy to post-opening support. The role navigates across MillerKnoll enterprise and Retail functions (e.g. Strategy, Finance, Store Development and Operations). This Senior Manager ensures seamless coordination across departments, adherence to brand standards, and timely execution of projects within financial targets. This role will report into Stamford Headquarters and the New York metro stores.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the creation and execution of a master project plan that sits on top of other teams planning processes
Identify, scope, socialize, and implement continuous improvement of the master project as well as consulting other areas on potential improvements in their processes
Support achievement of key milestones in the project plan
Create reporting for all areas supporting the master plan as well as creating Executive team updates and scorecards
Act as the point of contact for all functions and executive team for questions relating to strategy and status of opening plans
Monitor project timelines and resolve delays to keep openings on schedule
Supervise and guide managers and department heads fostering productivity and efficiency in teams
Liaising with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment to strategic goals
Coordinate and lead calls/meetings with various teams
Qualifications:
5-7+ years project management experience
Strong project management skills with experience in managing budgets and timelines
Proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, AirTable, Gantt charts and other project management tools
Ability to navigate many multi-level projects happening simultaneously
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to manage and cross-functional teams
Strong influencing skills to work effectively through various departments and functions to achieve on-time deliverables
Strong decision-making quality to find creative solutions and partner as needed to ensure work move forward at all times
Willingness to travel
This role is critical in ensuring our teams or focused on delivery our new store pipeline, which is a key pillar of our Retail expansion plan.
