Development Utilities Project Engineer working for a leader in Quality, manufactures high purity specialty chemicals for pharmaceutical, biotech, nutritional, food and other markets.
**Utilities Project Engineer**
St. Louis, MO
Pay: 42-52 per hour DOE
Contract to Hire
Reports to the Project Engineer Manager in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. Responsible for leading and executing engineering projects focused on utilities such as steam, condensate, compressed air, chilled water, RO, and city water systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Plan and manage complex utility projects including scope, budget, and schedule.
+ Coordinate design, construction, and installation; support operations during startup.
+ Work cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, operations, and quality teams.
+ Develop technical standards and oversee industrial piping and structural support designs.
+ Ensure safety compliance and minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
+ Stay current with industry developments to improve systems and processes.
**Qualifications:**
+ BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
+ 5+ years engineering experience in manufacturing (Masters may substitute for 2 years).
+ Proficient in engineering principles, AutoCAD, P&IDs, and MS Office; Revit a plus.
+ Strong documentation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
+ Effective communicator and team collaborator with ability to manage multiple priorities.
