Silicon Electrical Engineer

A Silicon Electrical Engineer is needed for an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services in the Mountain View, CA area. This role involves advanced digital SoC integration, RTL design, and verification support for cutting-edge silicon chips used in AI and cloud technologies, with a focus on AXI protocols, CDC/RDC validation, and small IP development.

responsibilities:

• Contribute to silicon chip design for advanced cloud and AI products.
  
  
• Support design and flow work, write scripts, and check CDC (Clock Domain Crossing), RDC (Reset Domain Crossing), and SoC integration quality.
  
  
• Develop and verify SystemVerilog RTL code for smaller IP blocks.
  
  
• Perform RTL design and verification tasks.
  
  
• Collaborate on design specifications and test plans.
  
  
• Run CDC, Lint, and front-end synthesis.
  
  
• Analyze performance, gate count, and power for designs.
  
  
• Integrate IPs into SoC designs and assist verification engineers in ensuring bug-free silicon.

Skills:

• AXI/APB protocols, SystemVerilog, RTL design.
  
  
• Python/Perl scripting for automation.
  
  
• CDC/Lint tools, simulation tools.
  
  
• Understanding of floating-point arithmetic in RTL, DFT, and scan concepts.
  
  
• Familiarity with verification test benches and SoC performance tuning.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field required.
  
  
• A Master's degree is preferred.
  
  
• 10+ years of experience in digital design and SoC development.
  
  
• 5+ years experience in AXI protocol integration.
  
  
• 7+ years contributing CDC/RDC to successful SoC tapeouts.
  
  
• 5+ years in developing IPs.
