Electrical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical and electronic engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing automated test solutions for electronic systems, particularly within the aircraft industry, and will be comfortable working with international teams and traveling to different sites for equipment installation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough dry checks on electrical devices, including harnesses and adapters.
  • Create comprehensive user documentation packages with drawings, operating instructions, and detailed guidelines for end-users.
  • Start-up and deploy automated test software for various avionics equipment, both commercial and military.
  • Design and implement automated test solutions, incorporating an Interface Test Adapter (ITA) and test software, collectively known as a Test Program Set (TPS).
  • Develop test and interface circuitry, including switching, signal conditioning, and custom loads.
  • Analyze OEM design and test documentation to define test requirements and develop strategic approaches.
  • Select appropriate equipment that aligns with OEM specifications, balancing cost and functionality.
  • Prepare internal documentation packages, including bills of material, schematics, assembly, and outline drawings.
  • Oversee the integration of hardware and software through the entire manufacturing process.
  • Ensure solutions conform to specifications and meet OEM requirements through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Lead the development of user documentation packages for end-users.
  • Introduce new testing solutions to users, providing training and support at remote facilities when required.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering job experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as HTBasic, Visual Basic, C++, and C#.
  • Experience with test programming software like LabView and Test Stand.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment and tools, such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, soldering stations, function generators, and power supplies.
  • Experience in wiring and assembling electrical and electronic units.
  • Experience reading and creating electrical schematics in AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of OEM requirements and aircraft industry standards.
  • Proficiency in test program development and circuit design.
  • Effective communication skills for global collaboration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PCB layout and design.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
Work Environment

This position requires a willingness to travel internationally for equipment installation. The role involves working with various types of avionics equipment, using advanced test equipment and software tools. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, requiring effective communication with team members, suppliers, and customers worldwide. Dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
