The Opportunity

We're seeking a hands-on, motivated Electrical Engineer II to join our collaborative team. You'll work closely with a seasoned engineer who has over 18 years of experience and a passion for mentoring. This is a unique opportunity to grow into a leadership role, eventually taking on new product development (NPD) and customer-facing design responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical Design: Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, circuitry, and instrumentation.
  • CAD Drafting: Create 2D/3D schematics, layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from concept to completion-define scope, allocate resources, schedule tasks, and manage budgets.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and review designs for compliance with standards and best practices.
  • Product Development: Contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of new electrical components and systems.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify technical risks and propose solutions to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant industry codes and regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with mechanical, software, and assembly teams to integrate systems and resolve technical challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements in design tools, workflows, and methodologies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of designs, specifications, test plans, and project milestones.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or a related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Inventor
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and U.S. electrical codes
  • Experience in OEM environments
  • Exposure to electromechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Bonus Points

  • Bilingual (Spanish, German, or other languages)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Customer-facing engineering or project management experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $45.67/hr.
