Staff Electrical Engineer
The Staff Electrical Engineer designs, develops and tests a wide range of instrumentation & controls equipment for use in commercial nuclear power plants. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Creativity and latitude is expected to resolve problems of a diverse scope.

Your Challenge:
+ Create new designs from client requirements.
+ Maintain existing designs to improve performance, manufacturability, or to replace obsolete components.
+ Modify existing designs to meet new requirements.
+ Provide complete product documentation packages including schematics, parts lists, test plans, test procedures, qualification reports, product brochures, operation and maintenance manuals.
+ Provide technical support to clients online, by phone and on site.
+ Perform independent technical reviews of other engineers' plans, designs and documents.
+ Perform work in accordance with established Quality Assurance program and Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Provide estimates for R D planning.
+ Determine design approaches and parameters.
+ Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
+ May review vendor capability to support product development.
Your Expertise:
+ Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an appropriate engineering field.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.
+ Able to analyze the performance of electronic systems and circuitry.
+ Able to conceive, evaluate and implement new circuit designs and design changes to existing circuits.
+ Component level troubleshooting skills.
+ Communicates well with peers, ma
