What you'll do:
Define and execute the vision of our next generation aircraft launch and landing system's electrical design. This includes power generation, regulation, distribution, safety, reliability, sensors, compute, communications, etc.
Make vs. buy trade studies. Select, test, and integrate modules for use in the system. Execute custom design wherever needed.
Engage with 3rd party engineering and vendors as necessary to qualify subsystems and/or guide custom development efforts.
Ensure system performance and reliability is met through rigorous verification
Debug complex problems related to the electrical design, environmental, manufacturing, etc.
Help build the team and lead multiple engineers dedicated to the power system design
Drive a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture
Develop bench test setups and HIL infrastructure
Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership
Work in a fast-paced environment
Required qualifications:
You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years relevant experience
Power system and/or other electrical design experience on large systems such as an aircraft, rocket, satellite, heavy machinery, or equivalent
Proficient with electrical engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment
Experience leading key aspects of product design and execution
Strong technical fundamentals and analysis
$149,134 - $223,702 a year
