Vehicle Electrical Design Engineer

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking an Automotive Schematic Engineer to join their team. As an Automotive Schematic Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the development of autonomous robots. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Vehicle Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $85-90 per hour

What's the Job?

• Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics for autonomous vehicle robots.
• Develop logical system diagrams that clearly communicate system architecture and interactions, focused on interactions within and between robot subsystems.
• Design and document physical schematics for vehicle subsystems, collaborating with harness and systems engineers to ensure accurate representation of system connections and interfaces.
• Actively participate in design reviews and provide technical input for system improvements.
• Maintain schematic documentation using industry-standard tools and practices, ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards and best practices.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience creating electrical schematics for automotive applications.
• Proficient in schematic capture and documentation tools.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems and components.
• Experience with wiring harness design and documentation.
