Project Manager - Visual Merchandising

Our client, a major footwear brand, is looking to bring on a Project Manager of Visual Merchandising and Operations for a 6+month contract. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in the office (Tues/Wed/Thurs). There's a strong chance of this extending after the first 6 months.

This pivotal role involves project ownership, close collaboration with retail and wholesale Visual Merchandising teams, and active support for the visual merchandising design process. Serving as the primary point of contact, you'll engage with vendors, manage bulk orders, and uphold meticulous inventory control.

Assuming responsibility for project approvals, adherence to timelines, resource allocation, and leadership in meetings, you'll ensure the success of seasonal displays and rollouts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple high priority projects concurrently.

Operate within a disciplined calendar framework, coordinate seamlessly with vendors, and contribute to the development of in-store strategies.

Take ownership of the Visual Merchandising (VM) calendar, overseeing GTM, events, new store openings, and construction work backs.

Facilitate engagements for GTM, events, new store openings, and construction work backs.

Schedule kickoff meetings upon receipt of creative briefs and establish transparent workback calendars. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, emphasizing key milestones and deadlines.

Monitor project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes.

Draft contracts in collaboration with the legal team. Mitigate legal risks by implementing rigorous approval processes within the VM calendar.

Establish transparent communication channels to convey project goals and expectations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, managing the VM PO system, and ensuring streamlined approvals

Demonstrate a deep understanding of client brand guidelines, ensuring alignment with evolving consumer expectations.

REQUIREMENTS:

+5 years of hands-on experience in retail visual merchandising

Proficient in PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and Project Management tools preferred (Asana preferred)

Strong leadership skills, capable of fostering trust, collaboration, and teamwork within the team and across departments.

Exceptional collaboration skills, showcasing the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic retail environment.

Proven adaptability to fast-paced and growing retail brands/environments, with a focus on delivering operational visual merchandising strategies.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
