GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a HealthSpace Project Manager to work in a hybrid capacity, with 2 days on-site per week at the Ohio Department of Health in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports the integration and operations of Ohio's environmental health licensing and inspection systems, including Accela and HealthSpace, and requires close collaboration with state and local health districts.
Position Overview
As a HealthSpace Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the data and operations between Ohio's HealthSpace and Accela systems. Your duties will include overseeing system migrations, working with multiple program areas, supporting end users at Local Health Districts, and ensuring alignment with state requirements. You will facilitate communication with vendors, track project metrics, and ensure timely delivery of system enhancements, training, and support documentation across environmental health programs.
ResponsibilitiesManage and support the implementation and operation of ODH’s HealthSpace system, including data mapping, exports, and verification with Accela.
Coordinate and verify data accuracy between HealthSpace and Accela systems.
Provide project oversight of ODH's Accela system, including workflows for Environmental Health licensing processes across programs such as Food, Pools, Sewage, Private Water, and Campgrounds.
Administer Accela system components including user accounts, fees, political subdivisions, and agency configurations.
Research and develop new reports using the Accela Ad-hoc Report Builder.
Coordinate with the Accela vendor and Innovate Ohio Program for automated data transfers.
Ensure proper integration between the Accela and ODH CARS invoicing systems.
Oversee CBOSS online payment system setup and support between CBOSS and Local Health Districts.
Monitor time accounting and payment processing within the Accela system.
Collaborate with OMIS, Accela, and other vendors to ensure system security compliance and contract adherence.
Participate in system deployment, provisioning, and training efforts in coordination with the Accela vendor and local jurisdictions.
Track and verify project costs and deliverable milestones.
Maintain Jira entries for issue tracking and resolution.
Coordinate and lead meetings with ODH program managers, Local Health District staff, and stakeholders.
Prepare governance updates, user guides, documentation, FAQs, project metrics, risk/issue logs, and enhancement plans.
Provide weekly and periodic status updates to ODH management and Local Health District working groups.
Minimum Qualifications
Hands-on experience with the ODH Accela system, including workflows, licensing, user administration, validation triggers, reporting, invoicing, and system integration.
Direct experience with the ODH HealthSpace system, including system data mapping and export coordination.
Proven ability to manage complex projects involving government health systems, data migration, and vendor coordination.
Strong understanding of environmental health programs (Food, Recreational Health, Sewage, Private Water, etc.) in a public health setting.
Familiarity with the CBOSS payment system and OGRIP GIS services.
Experience using Jira or similar tools for issue tracking and project management.
Excellent communication skills and experience leading meetings with stakeholders across state and local agencies.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Ohio Department of Health operations and systems, including CARS and Innovate Ohio.
Prior involvement in system deployment, provisioning, and large-scale government IT rollouts.
Background in public sector project governance and reporting.
