Project Manager - Facilities and Maintenance
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the expansion and revamping of our production spaces. This position will also involve preparing for FDA audits for our pharmaceutical lines. The role demands a seasoned professional to manage large-scale projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline, while driving strategic alignment and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and communication strategies.
  • Manage multi-year program/project budgets up to $30M and implement effective cost management strategies across multi-programs/projects concurrently.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including senior management, internal teams, and external vendors.
  • Actively manage project progress, key milestones, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques and change control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and contribute to organizational knowledge.
  • Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members, fostering project management expertise within the organization.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, templates, and tools.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts as required for project execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with all functions, including but not limited to Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, IT, Commercial, HR, and Administration.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Science, Engineering).
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion leading complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools with a strong preference for Smartsheet.
  • Experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, with a demonstrable understanding of its unique challenges and regulatory landscape.
  • Experience managing projects related to drug development, regulatory submissions, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing virtual and geographically dispersed teams is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, preventive maintenance, and budget management.
  • Project management experience in a highly controlled environment such as Med Device, Pharma, Nuclear, or Lab.
  • Budget ownership experience of $3 Million a year.
  • Experience coordinating with 20 or more people.
  • Experience upgrading water systems, electrical boxes, HVAC, plumbing, etc., for Medical/Pharma Companies is beneficial.
Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with a 3/2 schedule. The workspace is a cubicle setting, providing an organized and professional atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
