**Job Description:**

**Title**: Hardware Design Engineer

**Location**: Redmond, WA

**Type**: Contract w/ extension or conversion possible

Responsibilities:

The **Hardware Design Engineer** will support the specification, development, design, and operation of the hardware design for various satellite avionics and hardware. This work will include cross-functional coordination to determine requirements and capabilities.

You will ensure HW supports both development work and end-product validation.

Qualifications:

- B.S. in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field

- Familiarity with high-speed design.

- Familiarity with design for FPGA or ASIC circuitry.

- Familiarity with board bring up and validation of complex designs.

- Troubleshooting expedience for PCBA with Analog, Digital, and Mixed signal circuitry.

- Work in the lab environment with various equipment like Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Network Analyzers, etc.

- Experience with rapid iteration prototypes and joint hardware/firmware development; partnering with software/hardware engineers to bring-up and test new hardware designs.

- Knowledge of engineering best practices & patterns for the full software/hardware development life cycle, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and certification.

- Experience with Schematic capture tools.

Preferred Experience (Plus to have)

- Hardware Debugging

- Experience working with FPGA or ASIC
