Electrical Engineer
Job Description

This role involves meeting and supporting the development of batteries into storage systems or energy storage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate battery systems in energy storage and electric vehicle environments.
  • Support system-level development of battery systems and power electronics applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage system integration with mechanical, electrical, and software stakeholders.
  • Define system requirements, interface definitions, and architectural design.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IEC, EN50549, and IEEE1547.
Essential Skills
  • Electrical engineering expertise with experience in battery integration in an EV environment.
  • Familiarity with standards such as IEC, EN50549, and IEEE1547.
  • Strong understanding of system requirements engineering and architectural design.
  • Several years of experience in system-level development of battery systems or energy storage technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Analytical mindset and structured approach to solving complex engineering problems.
  • Familiarity with BESS or grid-related norms such as UL 9540 is a plus.
Work Environment

The work is 100% onsite with 10% travel. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders in a professional setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
