Evaluate and research materials requirements to determine engineering requirements to recommend material selection for manufacturing automotive parts.
Coordinate materials selection and management according to production engineering specifications.
Analyze and evaluate engineering specification for developing new automotive parts and determine materials based on strength, weight, heat resistance, and cost factors.
Perform research and documentation of recent development in materials for automotive parts manufacturing to improve product quality and production performance.
Research, analyze, and prepare reports on new materials including market trends, cost projection, manufacturing process, and materials safety data.
Evaluate materials and finished product test results to identify quality issues and to ensure quality standards.
