Overview
We are seeking an experienced EMS (Energy Management Systems) Project Manager. This is a long-term engagement supporting a utility environment. The PM will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment across technical and operational stakeholders. Success in this role requires deep familiarity with EMS systems, SCADA, ADMS, and other utility technologies.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for the EMS refresh initiative.
Scope, plan, schedule, and drive execution to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, OT, grid ops, vendors) to define and meet project goals.
Manage integration points with SCADA, DMS, and other grid systems.
Coordinate vendor activities, including system upgrades and interface testing.
Proactively manage risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with utility operational standards, regulatory policies, and cybersecurity (including NERC CIP).
Maintain all project documentation and reporting.
Facilitate workshops, status reviews, and user acceptance testing.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience managing OT/IT or utility/energy projects.
Must have strong working knowledge of EMS systems (preferably GE, Siemens, or OSI), SCADA, ADMS, and other utility operational platforms.
Demonstrated experience managing complex, vendor-led system implementations.
Understanding of NERC CIP standards and cybersecurity requirements in utility environments.
PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Remote conditions:
Preference is given to candidates local to Rosemead, CA. Open to remote candidates who can work Pacific Time (PST) hours

Wage Data Per State Requirements
The Salary range for this position is $124,000 - $138,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
