Description
The Civil Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary project teams in delivering world-class land development for large ($100 million to $10 billion) industrial building campuses. This role merges technical expertise in civil engineering with robust project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Guide civil design projects for buildings, from conceptual phases to design completion, ensuring compliance with project, client, and industry standards.
Prepare and review specifications, technical reports, vendor drawings, and civil equipment data to achieve optimal project solutions.
Conduct quality reviews and field inspections, offering innovative and non-standard design solutions to complex challenges.
Manage change orders and perform QA/QC reviews to ensure precision and excellence.
Establish and lead project teams, coordinating efforts across disciplines, e.g., environmental, architecture, structural, and geotechnical, for efficient and effective project execution.
Develop project schedules, monitor scope, and control costs while ensuring adherence to safety and environmental compliance.
Oversee project controls, including cost forecasting, scheduling, reporting, and progress tracking, to ensure timely and profitable project completion.
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
Provide leadership and instruction to the civil engineering and project management teams, ensuring continuous professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from accredited program and 7 years' experience required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Professional Engineer (PE) License is strongly preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software
