Sheet Metal Applications Engineer/Project Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer with a experience in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to read CAD drawings within Solidworks, understand quoting processes, and create bills of materials (BOM) and routings.

Responsibilities

This candidate will act as the main point of contact for assigned customers, building strong relationships with their engineering, purchasing, and key teams. This role involves providing technical support, addressing inquiries, reviewing and negotiating orders, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met. You will also work with suppliers for optimal pricing, quality, and delivery while supporting fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working cross-functionally to achieve company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-2 years of experience in metal fabrication
  • Proficiency in reading CAD drawings within Solidworks
  • Understanding of Quoting Processes (material and man hours)
  • Experience in creating bills of materials (BOM) and routings
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Experience with AutoCAD
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
