Land Development Engineer (EIT)
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our dynamic Land Development Department. In this team-oriented role, you will be responsible for designing utilities, roadways, erosion control, and grading projects as part of developing engineering site and subdivision plans. You will assist project managers and collaborate with CAD Technicians to produce accurate and detailed plans. Additionally, this position requires effective communication with staff, clients, contractors, and the public regarding engineering or construction-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Design utilities, roadways, erosion control, and grading projects.
  • Develop engineering site and subdivision plans.
  • Assist project managers in design and plan production.
  • Work collaboratively with CAD Technicians.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, clients, contractors, and the public.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in land development and project management.
  • Strong design and engineering skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Understanding of stormwater and drainage systems.
  • Knowledge of civil design and site development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT certification required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Commitment to team approach and shared company values.
Work Environment

The work environment includes a technical staff of 50, including 3 principal engineers. You will assist Project Managers and work with CAD Technicians to produce detailed plan production work. Effective communication with staff, clients, contractors, and the public is essential. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
