The Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Associate Project Engineer. Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will have a hybrid work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

As an Associate Project Engineer in Moog's Aircraft Electrical Engineering Group, you will be one of the main points of contact for communications with Moog's customers. The candidate will work to meet the quality (customer requirements), schedule and cost for the program. The Associate Project Engineer is a contributor to coordinating (and often performing) the analysis, conceptual design, development, and integration of electronic hardware used on military aircraft.

In this technical project role, you will hold ownership on small to medium projects but will also be periodically leaned on to support some of the departments needs for reporting / data visualization and tool development.

As an Associate Project Engineer, you will

  • Contribute to proposals for new aircraft platforms in accordance with customer requirements - (in coordination with technical lead) responsible for technical concept generation and requirement compliance

  • Be a contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write ups

  • Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation

  • Support the documentation of designs, analyses, and test results with accurate/concise reports

  • Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross-functional team

  • Help support (maintenance and/or development) of various Power BI / SQL Server Reporting Services tools generated to support project execution of the team

  • Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs

Minimum Qualifications to be considered

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent coursework) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the development of high reliability electronics and electronics assemblies

  • Aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly administer advanced design and/or analysis techniques

  • Familiarity with the design life cycle including design, qualification, and certification of electronics for product applications

  • Familiarity with reporting services & data visualization tools such as Power BI & SQL

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies using JIRA / Confluence

Preferred Qualifications include

  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent coursework)

  • Exposure to multi-discipline engineering teams (digital, mechanical, power, motoretc)

  • Competency with SQL Server Reporting Services & data visualization tools such as Power BI

  • Competency with Agile methodologies using JIRA / Confluence

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$100,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
