Sr Electrical Engineer

MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who will develop, execute, and maintain software test architectures and plans in support of Product Lead Strategic Spectrum Warfare. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in software/hardware testing, test environment development, fault analysis, and stakeholder management. The candidate will be responsible for leading test efforts, coordinating with stakeholders, and producing comprehensive test documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead analysis, evaluation, and performance verification of hardware and software systems under test.
  • Support the development of test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability matrices, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementation.
  • Lead formal systems acceptance testing activities.
  • Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers through formal and informal reports and briefings.
  • Integrate and test systems to the software/hardware level.
  • Document testing issues and failures and perform analysis of test results.
  • Evaluate new technologies and assess their maturity for implementation.
  • Sustain and maintain test environments for fielded systems.
  • Coordinate support across multiple PEOs and PMs.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in engineering aspects of system design and functionality.
  • Capable of dissecting system function(s) for application in system test(s). Requires demonstrated engineering skills and capabilities to implement and execute comprehensive system testing.
  • Experience in integrating and testing and analysis of embedded processing systems to the software/hardware level.
  • Knowledge and experience in communications systems, software languages/software testing, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanical design and analysis.
  • Experience with requirements analysis and verification.
  • Experiencing in developing test strategies, plans, reports, etc.
  • Experience with software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with government personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in electrical engineering.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering

Desired Requirements

  • Experience with PEO IEW&S programs and systems.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and applications.
  • Preferred candidate will be familiar with DoDI 5000.89, DoDM 5000.100 and/or Test and Evaluation Enterprise Guidebook.

Other Qualifications

  • Required travel of 25% to Army and contractor locations with CONUS.
  • Ability to work in office/field/lab environments
