As a Project Manager , youll be at the forefront of innovation, driving cost-effective solutions and ensuring project success within the Advanced Project, Project, or Serial Life phases. Be the Driving Force in Project Economics
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage all cost aspects of critical automotive projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize resource allocation, and mitigate risks to achieve project objectives. Your financial acumen and project management skills will be essential in navigating the complexities of automotive development, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Structure project cost management based on the defined Job share, Pay share, and RASI.
- Monitor design costs to optimize TPC-Investment in relation to performance, quality, timelines, and R&D expenses.
- Provide comprehensive economical reporting, including TPC forecasts, potentials, and investment status.
- Establish component cost targets for Purchasing in alignment with global targets.
- Develop and manage Risk and Opportunity portfolios for both project and serial life phases.
- Implement cost convergence plans to meet targets.
- Create Transformation Cost contracts with Manufacturing.
- Develop Investment contracts for Make and Buy decisions.
- Manage yearly Investment and Expenses reporting, including budget breakdowns, forecasts, and analysis of actuals.
- Support financial relationships with partners on cooperation projects.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Applied Physics, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in design, development, and program management within Product Development functions/vehicle engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in cost management with responsibility for Budget and TPC.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proven project management and planning abilities, including leading cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Master of Science or MBA in a related field.
- Team building skills.
- DFSS Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $38.41 to $42.68 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
