We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer Design Verification Checker to join our team.

In this role you will:

Work closely with engineers, analysts and manufacturing for design verification of detailed drawings, models, and release of engineering work products.

Independently review models, drawings, and work product requirements from various sources (design, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.

Drive to completion the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.Qualified candidate will have or be able to:

- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.

- Mechanical design and/or manufacturing experience that includes the use of interpretation of engineering design drawings.

- Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (Creo, I-DEAS, etc.) and model based product definition.

- Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling, drafting and release familiarity (Creo, I-Deas, Solid Works, etc.).

- Proficiency with ASME Y14.5 1994 and/or 2018 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

- Experience working with teams on cross-level projects/multidisciplinary product development teams.

-Ability and desire to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, requires US citizenship.Desirable candidate will have or be able to:

- Current TS/SCI clearance

- EPDM Windchill experience.

- Creo experience.

- Prior checking experience, LM MCAD Checker certification is a plus.

- Data Set Rating experience.

- Demonstrated commitment to development and deployment of productivity / performance improvements and leveraging new technologies.

- Aeorspace / Structural / Mechanical / HVAC / Electrical engineering systems experience.

- Working knowledge of industrial standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS (including AWS weld symbology).

- Demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to lead and drive change.

- Knowledge of LM Space command media.

- Competent at handling multiple customers, tasks, and projects simultaneously.

- Exhibit strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
